BMW approved tyres
BMW approved tyres have a “STAR” symbol, indicating they have undergone BMW’s extensive testing and received approval. Tyres approved by vehicle manufacturers, also known as homologated or OE (original equipment) tyres, are a collaborative effort between the tyre and vehicle manufacturers. This partnership involves extensive testing, spanning up to 2 years, to attain the approved designation. While any properly sized tyre with the appropriate speed and load ratings can be installed, opting for a BMW-approved tyre guarantees optimal performance and safety.
