The Promoter
2. The promoter is Pirelli UK Tyres Limited, Derby Road, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 0BH (“Pirelli”). Promotion Period
3. The Campaign will be open during the Promotion Period. Entries received after the Promotion Period will not be valid or accepted. Eligibility
4. To be eligible to participate in the Campaign you must be a resident in the Territory aged 18 or over (“Participant”).
5. Employees or agents of Pirelli, or their families or households, or anyone professionally connected to the Campaign or any group company of Pirelli are not eligible to enter.
6. The Campaign is only available to consumers (i.e. not to any business or reseller). Each Participant may submit a maximum of one (1) entry. Entry
7. To enter the Campaign, Participants must complete and submit the registration form via the Website during the Promotion Period.
8. An entry into the Campaign must be made by the Participant, and must not be made through agents or third parties. Receipt of the Gift
9. Provided the entry has been received within the Promotion Period, Pirelli will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that delivery of the Gift is made within twenty-eight (28) days of the submission of the entry.
10. Delivery of the Gift will be to the email address provided by the Participant.
11. The Gift is subject to availability, subject to change and is allocated on a first come first served basis. Pirelli reserves the right to provide similar substitutes of equal or greater value to the Gift.
12. The Gift is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and will not be substituted for an equivalent cash value. Prize Draw
13. Two eligible Participants will be chosen by random draw on the Draw Date to win the Prize (the “Winners”).
14. The Winners will be notified by email (using the details provided) and they must provide a postal address to claim the Prize. If the Winner does not respond to Pirelli within seven (7) days of being notified by Pirelli, then the Prize will be forfeited and Pirelli will be entitled to select a replacement winner in accordance with the process described above.
15. The Prize will be sent to the postal address provided.
16. The Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
17. The Prize is supplied by the Supplier and is subject to the Supplier’s terms and conditions.
18. Pirelli reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Pirelli’s reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.

Privacy and Data Protection
19. Pirelli is the Data Controller for the purposes of data protection legislation. Any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be processed in accordance with Pirelli’s Privacy Policy, which is available to view at www.pirelli.co.uk/privacy

General
20. Pirelli reserves the right to withdraw the Promotion at any time before the end of the Promotion Period.
21. The decision of Pirelli regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
22. The Winner’s name and county can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Pirelli within 14 of days after the Draw Date.
23. Pirelli reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
24. Pirelli reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
25. Pirelli reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions.
26. Pirelli will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures including but not limited to the Website; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond Pirelli’s control; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Campaign.
27. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws, Pirelli, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Participants or accept any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in connection with the Campaign.

The above limitation of liability shall not apply to liability arising from fraud (including fraudulent misrepresentation) or death or personal injury caused as a result of Pirelli’s negligence.

The Participants statutory rights are not affected.
28. The Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in the Terms and Conditions as being included.
29. The Winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the Prize Draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
30. The Campaign is governed by English law and the Participants shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Uniroyal Cashback Promotion Terms and Conditions April – May 2026
These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other
communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to
form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have
accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
1. Uniroyal Cashback Promotion is open to all retail customers who are UK residents aged 18 and
over, Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, retailer, their agents or anyone
professionally connected with the promotion and trade customers (fleet and company vehicle
drivers) are not eligible to enter this promotion. The promotion will run from 00:00 1st April 2026 to
23:59 15th June 2026. The purchase period will run from 00:00 1st April 2026 and 23:59 31st May
2026.
2. Maximum one claim per person.
3. Purchase and internet access required.
4. How to claim: To claim your cashback reward via a pre-paid Mastercard, purchase at least two
participating products from a participating retailer between 1st April 2026 and 31st May 2026 in one
transaction, follow the advertised link or visit:

5. Claimants who make a claim on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s
discretion.
6. Claims (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not
be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times
or using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’,
‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s claims will be disqualified, and any
cashback will be void.
7. Incomplete, illegible, invalid, or misdirected claims will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not
be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for claims delayed,
incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
8. Participating products include all Uniroyal car, van or 4×4 tyres purchased directly from
participating retailers.
9. The Reward: Pre-paid debit Mastercard, the value of which is determined by the following:
£10 on two or £20 on four participating products 17″ rim size and below in a single transaction.
£25 on two or £60 on four participating products 18″ rim size and above in a single transaction.
10. Mastercard: The virtual pre-paid Mastercard can take up to 70 days to receive by email or SMS
text message. A physical pre-paid Mastercard can take up to 70 days to deliver, and it is not reusable
after all of the redeemed money has been spent. Claimants will have the choice between receiving
the pre-paid Mastercard virtually or physically. This choice will be given via an email from
service@prepaiddigtialsolutions.com that will be sent within 14 days after a valid claim and the
completion of any verification process.
11. Mastercard reserve the right to initiate a participant validation check. The participant validation
check will require the claimant to provide documentation to prove their identity, such as a passport
or driving licence. The recipient may choose to provide the required information at the time they are
prompted or may opt to return later to provide the information to Mastercard. However, they will
not be able to access the reward until the information has been provided and validation check has
been cleared.
12. Use your card everywhere Mastercard is accepted. Mastercard is a registered trademark and the
circles design is a trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated. This card is issued by
Transact Payments Limited pursuant to license by Mastercard International. Transact Payments
Limited is authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission
13. You will be required to submit your Identity verification details, which will be sent separately to
activate your Mastercard.
14. Claim notification: Claimants will be notified by email, and following initial notification, the
claimants will have 120 days to claim their reward. After valid claim and completion of the
verification process, the claimants will receive their reward within 70 days. Rewards cannot be
returned for another reward. Claimants are encouraged to monitor their connections (email and
telephone calls) during this time including junk folders.
15. No cash or other reward alternative available, in whole or in part, except owing to circumstances
outside the reasonable control of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to offer a suitable
alternative reward, or part of a reward, of equal or greater value. The rewards are non-transferable
and cannot be sold or auctioned.
16. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise
where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper
operation of this promotion or the awarding of the rewards, and only where circumstances make
this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion or
these terms and conditions, at any stage. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is
beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying
with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises,
weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities,
political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural
calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in
performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order
to avoid undue disappointment.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof
of purchase and ID including date of birth (passport, driving licence or equivalent form of
identification that clearly states the winner’s date of birth) and to refuse to award a reward or
withdraw reward entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the
participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms
and conditions. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions, and these will be binding, and
no correspondence will be entered into.
18. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including,
without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage
which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection
with this promotion or accepting or using a reward, except for any liability which cannot be excluded
by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the
minimum allowable by law.
19. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable
then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall
survive and remain in full force and effect.
20. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the
promotion and on reward acceptance. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing
to supply accurate information which affects reward acceptance or delivery of their reward.

22. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any
problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The
Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for

hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry
to the promotion.
23. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of the relevant country for each
entrant, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant country they
reside in.
24. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion
for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. When entering the Promotion, you acknowledge
that your entry, full name, email, mobile number, home address and car registration number will be
required to enter will have been made available to the Promoter and their external partner

This spring, Michelin is offering up to £100 cashback on selected 16” and above tyres purchased between 1st March and 30th April 2026. The amount you receive depends on the size and number of tyres you buy, with the opportunity to increase your cashback even further by opting in to Michelin marketing when you submit your claim.

Why is my air-con warm?

Every summer when the weather gets warmer we have lots of customers contacting us with the same question “ why is my air con warm?” Finding your air-con warm is distressing, especially in a heatwave!

Thankfully though, getting air con back to being icy-cold & fresh is usually quick & fairly straightforward. However there are a few reasons why it may have lost it’s cool.

Why is my air-con blowing warm air?

There could be a number of reasons why your air con may be blowing out hot air. Over time, vehicle air conditioning systems can lose efficiency due to refrigerant leaks, clogged filters, and worn out seals. However the the main and most likely reason for your AC not working is that the AC system is low on refrigerant.

It could be low beacuse:

It’s ready for an air con regas
The AC system has a leak

Refrigerant is a special type of gas that has been compressed into liquid which gives the unit its cooling ability. When this is low the AC system doesn’t have enough power to function.

When your refrigerant is low you need to book your vehicle in for an air con “regas” or “recharge”. Air conditioning regasing involves evacuating the refrigerant gas from your air conditioning, testing for leakages, then re-filling and pressurising the system.

Most manufacturers recommend an AC regas every 1-2 years so it’s advisable to think of servicing your air-conditioning system in a similar way to servicing your vehicle.

• Most vehicle need an AC regas every 1-2 years
• Low refrigerant is the most common reason for AC not working
• An AC regas removes old gas, tests for leaks then refils & pressurises the system

The best way to get ice-cold air-conditioning

When your car feels as hot as an oven you need to cool it down FAST! Presuming the system has enough refrigerant and is working properly, here’s the best way to get is as cool as possible, as quickly as possible:

Skip the remote start – a stationary car won’t cool efficiency and you’ll just waste fuel or charge if you own an EV.
Get moving – air-conditioning works much better when your car is on the move! The faster your engine turns, the quicker the AC compressor runs. This makes the AC system cool more effectively. Don’t waste your time or fuel using the AC until you’re ready to go!

To cool down quickly, once you’re on the move you should:

Turn on your AC
Open all windows for about 15 seconds
Put your AC blower on high. Once you feel cold air coming through the vents, roll up your front windows.
Leaving your rear windows slightly open for another 15 seconds or so helps pull the cold air to the back of the car.
Once all windows are up, set your AC to your preferred temperature & speed.
If you’re alone or have just a single passenger in the front – make sure your air-recirculation button is turned on. However, if you have passengers in the rear, circulating the air too make can make the cabin stuffy so you may want to turn the air recirculation button off.
If your car has an auto Stop/Start function, it’s best to switch it off on boiling hot days. Although it’s designed to save fuel, it will also switch off the compressor when you stop which isn’t what you want!
Lastly, make sure your pollen filter is in good condition. Having an old, dirty filter prevents optimal air flow – stopping you from enjoying cool, fresh AC.

How to keep car air-con cold

Regular maintenance is incredibly important when it comes to keeping your car’s air conditioning system in good health. So many drivers completely forget about their AC during the colder months. Using it throughout the year really does help ensure it stays in good working order and alerts you to any potential problems before a heatwave arrives and you desperately need it.

A few ways you can keep the AC system in good working order are:

Run your car air conditioning once a week. This is especially important in winter as regularly running your air conditioning will maintain your refrigerant gas pressure. Once summer comes along, your air conditioning will be better prepared for those hot summer days.
Use your AC to demist your windows throughout the year. Not only does this keep the system in good working order, it also works more quickly to clear your windscreen than a heater in cold weather.
Use your vehicle air-recirculation button in hot weather. This will cool your cabin down more quickly and put less strain on your air-conditioning system.

How does car air-con work?

Your car air conditioning system is made up of five key components:

Compressor
Condensor
Expansion valve
Receiver
Evaporator

So here’s what actually happens when you switch your air-con on:

Inside the air conditioning system is a compressor, which is where the refrigerant is stored.
When the air con is switched on, the gas travels to a condenser. Fresh air from outside the vehicle then passes over the condenser and cools the gas down. This is when the gas liquefies.
Once a liquid, a drier removes any impurities from the liquid before it reaches the thermal expansion valve. This is what allows the driver to control the temperature by limiting the flow of liquid.
Lastly, this liquid is turned into vapour as it travels through the evaporation coils and is blown into the vehicle as cool air.
Now back as a gas, the refrigerant then returns to the compressor to start the process again.

Why does air-con need gas?

Your car air con system has multiple components, but it is the refrigerant that is key to the smooth running of the system. The refrigerant helps create the cool air and without it, the system would not operate. It is a crucial component for a working system as it absorbs heat from the environment and converts it into a cool air flow when combined with the other components of the AC.

If your air conditioning system is low on refrigerant it will be far less efficient and will have to work much harder, putting a strain on your engine and use more fuel.

You are also likely to see a significant decline in the performance of the system as well as noticing an increase in the amount of time it takes to demist your windscreen in the winter months.

If your air-con runs out of gas completely it simply won’t operate and you may hear an echoing sound coming through the vents as it struggles to work. The compressor would shut down in order to prevent further severe damage taking place.

What air-con regas does my car need?

There are two different types of air conditioning regas services available to book. Which air-con regas you need will depend on the age of your vehicle and which gas it’s AC system needs.

The two different AC refrigerants or “gases” used are:

• R134A which is the standard recharge gas
• R1234YF which is the new generation recharging gas

R134A air-con gas

The standard R134A is used for vehicles made before 2017 has been used for over 20 years. However, in recent year it’s been found to be extremely damaging for the environment and a contributing factor in the destruction of the ozone layer.

Although we can still use this gas on older AC systems, we have to take measures to help reduce any damage. All our air-con technicians are F-gas registered & fully trained to prevent the R134A gas escaping into the atmosphere during the re-gassing process. It’s for this reason that a nitrogen test is carried out prior to a recharge on any system that contains no gas or that we suspect may have a leak.

R1234YF air-con gas

All vehicles manufactured after 2017 (& a few models prior) have AC systems that require the new R1234YF gas to operate.

This gas has been introduced for new vehicles as it is far less damaging to the ozone layer. Unfortunately it is more expensive to purchase but is the only gas suitable for cars manufactured after 2017.
