In 1888, John Boyd Dunlop, a Scottish vet, created the very first pneumatic tyre to improve the comfort of his son’s bicycle. When the tyre was a success the first steps towards Dunlop Tyres had been made.

From these humble beginnings, over the last century Dunlop has grown into one of the world’s leading tyre brands with a top reputation for high performance and innovation.

Merging with US tyre manufacturer Goodyear tyres in 1999, bringing together over 240 years combined experience in producing premium quality tyres.

Dunlop tyres are also well known for their impressive track record of achievements in the motorsport industry. Dunlop’s racing experience is their foundation behind their product development, which is manufactured to fit “from track to road”.

Dunlop works closely with vehicle manufacturers such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Honda and Lexus to produce ‘OE’ original equipment tyres specifically designed to ensure optimum performance for each vehicle.
