Car Mechanic job description

Eden Tyres & Servicing is looking for an experienced Car Mechanic to join our team at our Castrol Service garage in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanic who is confident carrying out a wide range of mechanical repairs, diagnostics and servicing. You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped workshop alongside a friendly and skilled team, with access to the latest tools and diagnostic technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Diagnose and investigate vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Carry out clutch replacements, cambelt and timing belt replacements and other mechanical repairs
• Perform vehicle servicing to a high standard
• Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering and other mechanical parts
• Accurately identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs
• Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a mechanic or vehicle technician
• Confident carrying out diagnostics and more involved mechanical repairs
• Experience with clutch and cambelt/timing belt replacement
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence

Working Hours

• Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• Saturday: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
• No Sunday or Bank Holiday work
